Just how weird is this whole debacle involving D’Angelo Russell, Nick Young and the Los Angeles Lakers? So weird that people are asking for noted loose cannon Stephen Jackson’s opinion.
The Lakers are at the center of the basketball universe after ESPN.com reported earlier this week that Russell was isolated by teammates for secretly video-recording a conversation in which Young admitted to being unfaithful to his fiancée, Iggy Azelea.
The video eventually leaked and set off an obvious firestorm. Things got really out of hand Wednesday, leading anyone and everyone to weigh in, including Jackson, who appeared on “SportsCenter” to give his take.
It was pretty much exactly what you’d expect from a guy whose claim to fame is a wild brawl with fans.

It might seem a little extreme, but almost everyone — inside basketball and out — shares Jackson’s opinion.
Russell at a Wednesday news conference publicly apologized for what he did. Whether that’s enough for Young and his Lakers teammates is yet to be seen.
