Arsenal must overcome an old foe if it is to win the FA Cup for the third consecutive season.
Arsenal faces Hull City on Tuesday at The KC Stadium in a replay of their FA Cup Round of 16 game. The teams drew 0-0 on Feb. 20, and the replay will determine which side advances to the quarterfinal where a home game against Watford awaits.
Hull City’s focus lies firmly on its campaign to earn promotion from the Championship (English second division) to the Premier League, so manager Steve Bruce likely will rotate his lineup for the Arsenal test. Yet, the Tigers are keen on topping the Gunners in this competition, having lost to them in each of the last two seasons of FA Cup play.
Arsenal hasn’t won in five games in all competitions, and manager Arsene Wenger must rely on a weakened squad as he seeks to improve his team’s form. Francis Coquelin will watch from afar, having been sent off in Arsenal’s most recent game. Goalkeeper Petr Cech and defender Laurent Koscielny will miss out due to calf injuries.
