Rockies Say A Hot Dog Is A Sandwich, Ignite Wild MLB Twitter Debate

On any given day, Twitter can cause stupid arguments and awesome moments. Wednesday, the Colorado Rockies took to Twitter for both.

It all started with this seemingly innocent tweet.

Except, you know, A HOT DOG IS NOT A SANDWICH.

The Cleveland Indians seemingly agreed, like any sensible person would, but were generally confused by such propaganda.

The Reds … didn’t help move the conversation at all. #TwitterProblems

The Rockies, though, literally shrugged off the chaos they had started.

Things got real. This one tweet started fights, like this one.

The Marlins spoke for all of us with this response.

But those wild animals in Colorado just did. not. care.

And thus ended the great hot dog debate of 2016. It was rough out there, but let’s all remember the one important takeaway: There will forever be people out there who try to tell you a hot dog is a sandwich. And they will always — always — be wrong.
