Welcome to “First Take,” where the debates seem manufactured, and apparently so does the emotion.

The news broke Tuesday that Skip Bayless, one of the stars of the polarizing ESPN debate show, is leaving ESPN. Bayless reportedly is on his way to FOX Sports, ending a long tenure at ESPN.

It was announced Wednesday that Bayless will stay with ESPN until the NBA Finals conclude, meaning fans can “embrace debate” for about two more months.

Wednesday’s “First Take” opened with Bayless confirming he was leaving, and getting sort of emotional talking about his time with the network and his friendly rivalry with co-host Stephen A. Smith.

So much raw emotion … we guess.
