The New York Islanders grabbed home-ice advantage in their second-round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Tampa Bay Lightning with an impressive performance in a Game 1 win.
The Lightning must win Game 2 to avoid an 0-2 hole when the series shifts to Brooklyn, and they need a much better performance from Vezina Trophy-finalist goaltender Ben Bishop. He was pulled in the second period of the series opener after allowing four goals.
