It’s now been more than 15 months since the initial Deflategate report broke, and Tom Brady’s punishment still has not been set in stone.
The New England Patriots quarterback currently is staring a suspension that will keep him out of the first four games of the 2016 regular season, and there is a legitimate debate over whether Brady should continue to challenge his ban or just accept the NFL’s ruling and move on.
HBO’s Bill Simmons, an unabashed Patriots fan and Brady supporter, said Thursday on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” that he hopes the QB keeps up the fight.
“He got railroaded,” Simmons said. “It was a smear campaign. Why should he let it go? If somebody did a smear campaign on you, would you let it go?”
Is it time for Tom Brady to let #deflategate go? @BillSimmons believes Brady should fight for as long as it takes!https://t.co/eUV2oFsgxY
