Boston Bruins 2016 Preseason Schedule: B’s Open Sept. 26 Vs. Blue Jackets

The Boston Bruins on Tuesday announced their schedule for the 2016 preseason.

The seven-game exhibition slate will begin Monday, Sept. 26, with a matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets at TD Garden. The schedule includes two games apiece against the Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia Flyers, as well as one game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Here’s a look at the full schedule (all games begin at 7 p.m. ET unless otherwise noted):

Monday, Sept. 26: vs. Blue Jackets
Wednesday, Sept. 28: vs. Red Wings
Friday, Sept. 30: at Red Wings
Saturday, Oct. 1: at Flyers
Tuesday, Oct. 4: vs. Canadiens (at Videotron Centre, Quebec City)
Thursday, Oct. 6: at Blue Jackets
Saturday, Oct. 8: vs. Flyers (at 5 p.m. ET)

Boston also announced a preliminary schedule for rookie camp and training camp. Rookie camp will begin Sept. 15, with the veterans reporting Sept. 22 and taking the ice for the first training camp practice one day later.

The Bruins finished the 2015-16 campaign with a 42-31-9 record and fell short of a Stanley Cup playoff berth for a second consecutive season. They have not missed the postseason three years in a row since the 1960s.
