The Boston Red Sox had a chance to win Friday night’s series opener against the New York Yankees, but they couldn’t plate any runs with the bases loaded and one out in the ninth inning.

David Price will start for Boston on Saturday afternoon.

He gave up six runs on eight hits in his last start against the Yankees on May 1, but he picked up the win thanks to a Red Sox offense that provided eight runs. This will be Price’s first start in the Bronx as a member of the Red Sox.

Red Sox manager John Farrell, who was ejected in the ninth inning Friday, along with David Ortiz, has not made any changes to his lineup.

The Yankees will send Nathan Eovaldi to the mound, while center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury won’t start after leaving Friday’s game in the first inning.
