Several former members of the Boston Red Sox are finding their way with the Oakland Athletics, making their trip to Boston this week a bit of a homecoming.
Jed Lowrie, Josh Reddick, Coco Crisp, Rich Hill, Danny Valencia and pitching coach Curt Young all have spent time with the Red Sox organization. NESN’s Gary Striewski caught up with Lowrie, who is second on the team with a .304 batting average, before the game on “Red Sox First Pitch.”
Lowrie talked about coming up in the Red Sox organization with Reddick and earning his chance to play in the major leagues here before becoming a successful everyday player elsewhere. Check it out in the video above.
