Kyle Lowry didn’t waste any time taking a jab at LeBron James.

Immediately after the Toronto Raptors dismantled the heat in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference semifinals matchup, Lowry was asked about his next opponent. And the Toronto point guard suggested to ESPN’s Doris Burke that while taking on LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers will be difficult, it could be tougher.

“LeBron’s probably one of the best players in the league, besides Steph (Curry),” Lowry said. “Kyrie (Irving)’s a tough matchup, and Kevin Love’s always a tough matchup. But we’re going to go in there and play our game and try to go out there and do our job and see what happens.”

After James’ recent comments about what kind of player is most deserving of the NBA’s MVP award, there’s no doubt he’ll notice Lowry’s “besides Steph” quip.
