NBA: NBA DraftSometimes, it’s better to be lucky than good. Or, in this case, bad.

The NBA will hold its 2016 Draft Lottery on Tuesday night, in which the order of the draft’s top 14 picks will be determined by the bounces of ping pong balls. The Philadelphia 76ers, the worst team in basketball this season, have the best chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick at 25 percent, followed by the Los Angeles Lakers (19.9 percent) and Boston Celtics (15.6 percent).

Of course, the lottery is completely decided by chance: Only one team in the last 11 years — the 2015 Minnesota Timberwolves — has earned the top pick after entering the lottery with the best odds to do so.

That means all 14 lottery teams have a shot at landing in a better position than they started in. Just ask the Cleveland Cavaliers, who had a 1.7 percent chance to get the top pick in 2014 but did just that and used the selection to draft Andrew Wiggins.

But the Cavs aren’t even the luckiest lottery team of all time. Click below for the biggest upsets of the NBA draft lottery since its inauguration in 1985.
