The Cleveland Cavaliers simply couldn’t miss from long range Wednesday night in Game 2 of their second-round playoff series, burying an NBA-record 25 3-pointers in a 123-98 beatdown of the Atlanta Hawks.

The most demoralizing of those 25 triples came midway through the fourth quarter, when a Mo Williams pass bounced off the face of Hawks reserve Mike Muscala and directly to Iman Shumpert, who proceeded to sink a corner three.

Ten different Cleveland players made at least one three in the game, and big men Timofey Mozgov and Tristan Thompson were the only Cavs who did not attempt one. J.R. Smith led the way, going 7-for-13 from beyond the arc to finish with a 23 points and a game-best plus-29 rating.

The Cavaliers hold a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series entering Game 3 on Friday night in Atlanta.
