Plenty of people have seen Peyton Manning play football. Now it’s time for the newly retired NFL legend to return the favor.

Manning on Tuesday told the audience at the Northern Colorado Sports Awards he doesn’t envision himself missing football too much now that he no longer plays. He’s looking forward to watching some football this season, particularly younger brother Eli’s NFL team and his alma mater.

“People tell me that I’m going to miss football, that I’m going to have withdrawals,” Manning said. “But I got my fill. There are things I want to do. I want to see the New York Giants play … I want to see my Tennessee Vols. I want to do a lot of things I haven’t been able to do in 22 years.”

Manning retired in March — just over a month after leading the Denver Broncos to victory in Super Bowl 50.

Many have speculated how Manning will spend his time now that he no longer must prepare for the next game. Television network sources told The New York Daily News that Manning isn’t interested in working as an analyst on NFL broadcasts this season.

Now that Manning has spoken for himself, we have some idea about what role the record-setting quarterback will play when he returns to a big-time football atmosphere.
