Dominique Easley has gone unsigned since the New England Patriots surprisingly released their former first-round draft pick last month.
Easley is drawing interest on the open market, however, and is working out for the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday, a source told NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
The Patriots selected Easley 29th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. The defensive tackle suffered two ACL tears in college and finished both of his NFL seasons on injured reserve. He played just 22 games and notched 25 tackles and three sacks with the Patriots.
Reports came out of Easley’s immaturity and unreliability after New England cut him on April 13. The 6-foot-2, 285-pound defender’s greatest strength in his two seasons with the Patriots came as a third-down interior pass rusher.
