Tiger Woods Hits Three Consecutive Shots Into Water At Tourney Media Day

Maybe Tiger Woods isn’t quite ready for a comeback just yet.

Rumors and speculation have swirled in recent weeks about a potential return from the former world No. 1, who hasn’t played a competitive round since late last season as he recovers from back surgery.

A few weeks ago, Woods played five holes at the opening of Bluejack National Golf Cub — a course he designed — marking his first time playing since August.

Woods appeared Monday at Congressional Country Club in Maryland ahead of the Quicken Loans National, where he answered questions and gave an update on where his recovery is at right now.

Woods said he’s feeling good and “progressing nicely,” but he still doesn’t know when his return will happen.

As part of the appearance Monday at Congressional, Woods also grabbed a club and hit a few shots for the crowd.

It didn’t go well. Woods hit three consecutive water shots, making for an incredibly awkward and somewhat uncomfortable situation.

In Woods’ defense, he probably wasn’t completely warmed up, which might have led to the shabby results. Regardless, it’s Tiger Woods, and everything he does will be overanalyzed, especially when he hits three straight balls into the drink.
