It might just be a small victory, but it’s a win for Tom Brady and the NFL Players’ Association nonetheless.

The NFLPA’s request for a 14-day extension to file an appeal was granted Tuesday, giving Brady’s legal team until May 23 to make their decision, according to court documents.  This news comes just over a week after the U.S. Court of Appeals reinstated Brady’s four-game Deflategate suspension.

The NFL argued against Brady receiving the extension due to time constraints, but the courts sided with Brady this time.
