Never again will anyone wear No. 26 for the Boston Red Sox. It belongs to Wade Boggs.

Boggs’ number officially will be retired Thursday night at Fenway Park before Boston’s game against the Colorado Rockies. His No. 26 will become the 10th number to adorn Fenway’s right field facade, as nine former Red Sox players’ numbers will hang alongside Jackie Robinson’s No. 42.

Boggs spent 11 seasons with the Red Sox, from 1982 to 1992. He earned eight All-Star selections and won five batting titles during that span, cementing him as one of the greatest hitters in Red Sox history.

Boggs’ pregame ceremony Thursday night should be special. You can watch it below.
