D’Angelo Russell Pokes Fun At Nick Young Scandal In ‘Foot Locker’ Ad

D’Angelo Russell’s rookie season didn’t exactly go smoothly, but at least he’s not afraid to admit it.

The Los Angeles Lakers point guard had a few off-court issues during the 2015-16 campaign, most notably a bizarre incident involving teammate Nick Young, in which he appeared to secretly film Young openly discussing cheating on his then-fiancée, Iggy Azalea. Young and Azalea since have broken up.

That leads us to a recent Foot Locker commercial starring 2016 NBA Draft prospect Ben Simmons as he asks for advice from recent draftees Karl-Anthony Towns, Devin Booker and Russell.

Russell’s response to Simmons couldn’t be more perfect.

You’d throw Simmons’ phone out the window too if your entire team shunned you for an ill-advised cell phone video.

Fortunately, it appears Russell is being a good sport about the whole thing, so hopefully the 20-year-old can put the incident behind him heading into next season.
