ESPN’s Brian Windhorst Roasts Stephen Curry’s Wife, Ayesha, For ‘Rigged’ Comment

Stephen Curry’s wife, Ayesha, has been vocal on Twitter throughout the NBA playoffs. But her claim Thursday night after her husband was ejected from Game 6 of the NBA Finals that the league is “absolutely rigged for money” is hard to take seriously when you consider the source.

That’s the point ESPN’s Brian Windhorst made when asked after the game about Ayesha’s emotional tweet, which she later deleted and described as occurring in the “heat of the moment.”

You see, it’s not that Ayesha isn’t entitled to her opinion or that she isn’t intelligent or anything like that. And it’s not even that she’s inherently going to be biased toward her husband’s team, the Golden State Warriors, as they look to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers to secure their second consecutive NBA title.

It’s just that Stephen Curry, the league’s back-to-back MVP, has become the face of the NBA. If, in fact, the NBA was up to some funny business, Ayesha should be thankful, because, as Windhorst so politely and intelligently stated, no one has benefited more from said funny business over the last two years than the Curry family itself. Sometimes, you just need to step back and put things into perspective.

Now, could you imagine Ayesha’s response if Curry was suspended for Game 7 for throwing his mouthguard into the stands?
