Mark Hunt Rips ‘Pretender’ Brock Lesnar: ‘I’ll Knock His Face Off’ At UFC 200

Play time’s over for Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar will return to the octagon next month for the first time since 2011 when he squares off with Mark Hunt at UFC 200. It won’t be an easy fight for Lesnar, who’s still under contract with WWE, as Hunt made it clear after his opponent spoke with multiple media outlets Monday that he has big plans.

“I’ll knock his face off,” Hunt said, according to MarkHunt.tv. “I knock his mouth off and then his lips fly off.”

Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012 and since has worked a reduced schedule with the company, still appearing at marquee pay-per-view events but usually appearing on television less than some of the other superstars. The 38-year-old said Monday he’s had an “itch” to return to mixed martial arts, though. And on July 9, he’ll face a worthy adversary in Hunt, who’s known as a powerful puncher.

“I ain’t no part-time fighter. He thinks this is a game where he can come back and forth,” Hunt, 42, told MarkHunt.tv. “I will send this pretender back so he can play house with the other part timers. This realm is for the real fighters, not these damn pretenders.”

Lesnar is no slouch when it comes to MMA. He once held the UFC heavyweight championship, successfully defending it twice after beating Randy Couture at UFC 91 before eventually losing the title to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121. But Hunt, who won his last two fights over Antonio Silva and Frank Mir to run his MMA record to 12-10-1, hardly sounds intimidated by The Beast Incarnate.

“Don’t confuse wrestling with real fighting,” Hunt said. “I’m going to give it to him.”

Things just got real, real quick.
