Is Xander Bogaerts the most valuable player in the American League?

The Boston Red Sox shortstop was leading Major League Baseball with a .351 average and 104 hits going into Thursday’s game against the Chicago White Sox, and Bogaerts also had an MLB-best 32 multi-hit games. Plus, his quality defense makes him an even more special player, which is why NESN announcer Dennis Eckersley thinks Bogaerts should be this season’s AL MVP.
