Aqib Talib believes he’ll be back on the field when his Denver Broncos being training camp July 28 — less than two months after a gunshot to the leg left him hospitalized.

Speaking Monday at a celebrity golf tournament hosted by fellow Broncos defensive back T.J. Ward, Talib said he “feels great,” is “back running and everything” and “should be” ready for camp, according to Cameron Wolfe of The Denver Post.

The Broncos said last month they didn’t expect Talib to miss any regular-season games as a result of his injury, which he sustained during the early morning hours of June 5 after a night out in Dallas.

The 30-year-old cornerback is entering his third season with Denver. He finished the 2015 regular season with 45 tackles and three interceptions, then added 14 tackles and six pass breakups in a three-game playoff run that culminated in a Super Bowl championship.
