Bills Shouldn’t Laugh At Patriots After News Of Karlos Williams’ Suspension

Let’s take a stroll down memory lane to April 25, a day New England Patriots fans would prefer to wipe off the calendar.

That, of course, was the day Tom Brady’s four-game Deflategate suspension was reinstated by theĀ U.S. Court of Appeals. And while Patriots fans came to terms with losing TB12 for the first four games of the 2016 season, the Buffalo Bills tweeted out a not-so-subtle jab at their AFC East rival.

Now fast forward to July 15, the day Deflategate basically came to and end when Brady posted a Facebook message saying he wouldn’t challenge the case any further in the courts. But the Patriots weren’t the only AFC East team dealt some rather unfortunate suspension news Friday.

Second-year running back Karlos Williams also received a four-game suspension from the NFL for violating the league’sĀ Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Now, we are by no means calling this an equal loss. Brady is a four-time Super Bowl champion and arguably the greatest quarterback who’s ever lived, while Williams had seven rushing touchdowns and 517 yards on 93 carries as a rookie in 2015.

But Buffalo hasn’t sent any more snarky tweets at New England today, and that’s probably a smart move.
