BOSTON — Brock Holt is going right back to work.

The Red Sox utility man came off the disabled list, where he’d been since he suffered a concussion May 19, on Friday and already is back in Boston’s lineup against the Los Angeles Angels. Holt will play left field and bat sixth in the game at Fenway Park.

Hanley Ramirez is absent from Friday’s lineup after tweaking his back Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Red Sox manager John Farrell said whether Ramirez is available off the bench will be a game-time decision. In the meantime, Travis Shaw moves over to first base and will bat second, while Marco Hernandez will play third and bat ninth.

Steven Wright is on the mound for the Sox and will look to bounce back from one of his worst starts this season. The right-hander had a tough time with his knuckleball against the Rangers in the Texas humidity on June 25, giving up eight runs (three earned) over 4 2/3 innings. However, the weather might be a concern for Wright on Friday, too, as there’s rain in the forecast in Boston.

Here are the Red Sox’s and Angels’ lineups for Friday’s game.
