After surviving repeated offensive onslaughts by Germany to post a 2-0 victory in Thursday’s semifinal contest, France moves on to Sunday’s Euro 2016 final against Portugal as a heavy even-money betting favorite on the three-way line at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Les Bleus improved their current unbeaten streak in Euro matches played on home turf to 11 with their victory over Germany and are poised to become the first squad to capture a second Euro crown as host nation with a win in Sunday afternoon’s France vs. Portugal betting matchup at Stade de France.

France dominated in a crushing 5-2 quarterfinal win over a surprising squad from Iceland, lifting it into a dead heat with Germany on both the Euro 2016 championship odds and match odds ahead of its semifinal clash.

Die Mannschaft dominated play in that matchup, maintaining 65 percent ball possession, but failed to solve French goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, continuing the goal scoring woes that plagued them throughout the tournament.

Conversely, France capitalized on its opportunities, as captain Antoine Greizmann padded his goal scoring lead with a pair of markers, giving him six on the tournament and lifting him to a massive -50,000 favorite to finish as top goalscorer on the Euro 2016 player props.

Powered by a pair of second-half goals in a span of three minutes, Portugal punched its ticket to the final with a 2-0 semifinal victory over Wales, picking up its first win in regulation at the tournament as +115 chalk on the Euro 2016 betting lines.

Going deep at the Euro is nothing new for Portugal, which fell to Greece in the Euro 2004 final and have now reached the final four in five of its seven all-time appearances at the tournament.

But Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. have a mountain to climb in their clash against France, a side they have not beaten since 1975, losing 10 straight since, including defeats at the Euro in 1984 and 2000 and in the semifinal of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Ronaldo has played a critical role for Portugal this time around, tallying three goals at this year’s tourney, including the game winner against Wales, and remains a distant +5,000 bet to surpass Greizmann as top goalscorer.

The Real Madrid superstar will need to be nothing short of spectacular against France, however, as Portugal faces its first elite opponent of the tournament after benefiting from seeding in a weaker Euro 2016 knockout stage bracket.

Portugal trails as +350 underdogs on the three-way betting line for Sunday’s matchup, and sport long +185 odds in Euro 2016 futures betting, while France is perched as -225 chalk.
