Euro 2016 resumes Thursday at the Stade Velodrome, where host nation France takes on reigning World Cup champions Germany with a place in the final at stake.

France crushed Iceland 5-2 to reach the semifinal, while Germany barely escaped the quarterfinals with a win over Italy in a penalty shootout. A win for Germany would put it one step closer to becoming the first nation to win back-to-back FIFA World Cup and Euro titles since Spain did so in 2010 and 2012.
