Forget Giancarlo Stanton — This Was 2016 Home Run Derby’s Biggest Hit

Giancarlo Stanton pummeled 61 balls into the Petco Park seats during Monday night’s MLB Home Run Derby, but his titanic blasts had nothing on the hit one young fan absorbed while shagging balls in the outfield.

During Carlos Gonzalez’s turn at the plate, the youngster made a beeline for a line drive that had fallen short of the warning track, only to be absolutely truck-sticked by another, much larger volunteer.

Head on a swivel, kid!

Thankfully, everyone appeared to be OK, as both ball-shaggers continued to patrol the outfield grass for the remainder of the competition.
