Angels outfielder Mike TroutThere’s still plenty of baseball left in 2016, but we’ve already seen our fair share of surprises.

This Major League Baseball season has plenty of compelling storylines, from the dominance (and recent slumping) of the Chicago Cubs in the National League to the resurgence of the Texas Rangers and upstart Cleveland Indians in the American League.

But the game’s best narrative still is the influx of young talent that has taken over in recent years. That much is evident in the races for baseball’s top awards — Most Valuable Player, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year and Manager of the Year — which still feature a host of young stars in both the AL and NL.

It’s still too early to tell who will take home those crowns, but with the MLB All-Star break upon us, we’ll break down who’s currently deserving in our MLB Midseason Awards.
