The Boston Red Sox’s recent trades and record in the first half have put them in position to make their first postseason appearance since winning the 2013 World Series.

The Sox enter the final 75 games of the regular season two games behind the Baltimore Orioles for first place in the American League East, and their recent moves, including Thursday’s trade for starting pitcher Drew Pomeranz, have fixed needs as they make a run at a postseason appearance.
