Actor, producer and Boston native Mark Wahlberg had some harsh words for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell when he went on ESPN’s “Mike & Mike.”

Wahlberg claimed Friday that Goodell called him to say NFL players could not appear on his new HBO show, “Ballers.” Perhaps it was retaliation for Wahlberg, a noted New England Patriots fan, being outspoken about Goodell’s Deflategate punishment of Tom Brady?

Well, it appears those warnings did not work, as three current NFL players appeared on the show in Season 1.

NESN.com’s Marc DiBenedetto has the details on Wahlberg and Goodell’s conversation in the video above.
