Apparently Tim Tebow was more surprised than anyone to wake up to the news that he was speaking at the Republican National Convention next week.

The former NFL quarterback was among the speakers listed for Day 4 of the GOP Convention in plans obtained by The New York Times, but Tebow delivered a much different take on the situation Thursday in a Facebook video.

“It’s amazing how fast rumors fly, and that’s exactly what it is — a rumor,” Tebow said in the video, which you can watch below.

That’s not exactly a no. Still, it appears much more likely now that Tebow won’t be in Cleveland next week.

At least GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump still has UFC president Dana White and pro golfer Natalie Gulbis as reported speakers at the convention.
