Tom Brady Reportedly Won’t Join Donald Trump At Republican National Convention

The list of speakers at the upcoming Republican National Convention reportedly won’t include Tom Brady.

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump said last month said he’d like to have Brady speak on his behalf at the event, which is scheduled for July 18 to 21 at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena.

The New England Patriots quarterback is a self-proclaimed “good friend” of the controversial candidate, but he has chosen not to join him on stage, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

Patriots training camp doesn’t begin until July 27, so Brady theoretically could have attended the convention if he wanted to. But given his general aversion to talking politics, it’s no surprise he opted to sit this one out.
