Aly Raisman: Preparing For Second Olympics Was Hardest Thing I’ve Done

Winning medals at one Olympics is hard enough. Coming back for a second time and repeating that success four years later is a whole different story.

But that’s exactly what USA gymnast Aly Raisman accomplished at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, as she upped her career medal count to six. And that took a lot of preparation and training.

“It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,” Raisman said on “Red Sox Gameday Live” before Boston’s game Friday against the Kansas City Royals. “I’m very relieved that it’s over. It was very stressful. But as soon as I got to the Olympics I just tried to think about being confident and trusting my training. And by the time I competed I felt ready. But it obviously was very nerve-wracking. My hands are sweating just thinking about it.”
