FOXBORO, Mass. — Tom Brady put on a show for theĀ 24,546 fans who came out for the New England Patriots’ annual training camp practice under the stars at Gillette Stadium.

The Patriots worked heavily on special teams and team drills in the unpadded practice session. Brady went 12 of 16 in 11-on-11 drills, and one of his four incompletions was dropped by tight end Martellus Bennett. He spent a long stretch of practice talking to former Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi, who was on hand for Kevin Faulk’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

With wide receivers Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Chris Hogan and Keshawn Martin nursing injuries, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Dobson and Chris Harper each caught three passes from Brady.

More notes from Monday night’s practice:

— QB Jimmy Garoppolo went 11 of 14 with an interception during 11-on-11 drills. His interception was broken up by cornerback Logan Ryan and picked off by safety Devin McCourty, who ran the ball into the end zone and fired it up in the air. Brady tried to catch the ball and dropped it, eliciting groans from Patriots fans. Brady picked it up, threw it in the air and caught it, earning the crowd back.

— QB Jacoby Brissett went 16 of 34 in what might have been his worst practice in a Patriots uniform. He was picked off by safety Brock Vereen after Malcolm Mitchell dropped a pass. Vereen also broke up a pass during the practice session.

— Mitchell was otherwise solid, catching five passes from Brissett, including a nice catch on an impressive deep ball. Running back D.J. Foster also caught a deep pass from Brissett.

— Foster, wide receivers Chris Harper and Devin Lucien and running back Joey Iosefa also dropped passes.

— Linebacker Jamie Collins broke up a pass intended for James White from Brady.

— Josh KlineĀ worked on team drills for the first time in camp. He split time at right guard with the first unit and at center with the backups. Rookie Ted Karras played right guard with the first unit while Kline was at center. Joe Thuney remained at left guard as second-year pro Shaq Mason didn’t participate in team drills.
