Even the defending women’s World Cup champions need luck on their side every so often.

The United States women’s soccer team was on the verge of losing its Olympic quarterfinal matchup with Sweden on Friday until Alex Morgan scored the equalizer in the 77th minute.

Morgan was at the right place at the right time, as she corralled a loose ball that deflected off a Sweden defender’s head, then stuck it in the back of the net for the goal.
