Art Briles Admits He ‘Made Mistakes’ During Coaching Tenure At Baylor

Art Briles is taking a regretful tone following his dismissal as head football coach at Baylor.

In his first televised interview since being fired, Briles told ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi: “There was some bad things that went on under my watch. I was the captain of this ship. The captain of the ship goes down with it.”

Back in May, ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” reported Baylor football coaches and officials allegedly shielded players accused of sexual assault and domestic violence.

Check out the video above for more on the upcoming interview with Briles, which airs on ESPN’s “College GameDay” on Saturday.
