As you might know, Bill Belichick doesn’t have a lot of patience for non-football matters, whether that’s banners, media narratives, social media or uniforms.

The New England Patriots head coach was asked Friday about the color rush uniforms his team wore Thursday night, and if they brought back bad memories of a similar blue-on-blue combination they wore in a 2002 loss.

“Yeah, I mean I wish that was all there was to it,” Belichick said. “Just put on a new pair of socks or change uniforms or something like that. It’s a lot more to it than that.

“I mean, I can’t even tell you how excited I was about the uniforms last night. That’s really incredible.”

Belichick also was dressed in his Thursday night best, wearing a sleeveless cut-off crewneck sweatshirt over a mock turtleneck with the sleeves cut off at the forearms.
