Hanley Ramirez provided some more power Thursday in the Boston Red Sox’s latest win, but he still believes his best is yet to come.
The Red Sox first basemen helped power Boston to a 5-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles, and afterward he was asked about his recent hot bat — he has 10 home runs in September. But instead of providing confirmation, Ramirez echoed a line we’ve heard him say before in 2016.
“I’m not hot yet,” he told reporters, as aired on NESN’s “Red Sox Final.” “I’m not hot yet. It’s coming, it’s coming. You know, it’s coming, and like I say, just going out there and focusing and try to do the best thing that I can do.”
