Is Bill Belichick The Greatest Coach In Sports History? One Pundit Thinks So

Max Kellerman is all in on Bill Belichick’s greatness.

Kellerman and his ESPN “First Take” co-host, Stephen A. Smith, were joined Friday morning by former Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi to discuss New England’s 27-0 win over the Houston Texans on Thursday night. An emphasis was placed on Belichick’s track record, and Kellerman made it clear he thinks the Patriots head coach is the greatest coach in the history of American team sports.

It’s a bold declaration, sure. There have been so many great coaches/managers over the years in football, basketball and baseball — the three major sports Kellerman referred to in his argument — that it’s nearly impossible to pick just one as being the all-time best. But Belichick has proven time and time again that he’s on a different level than most. And Thursday’s win with a rookie quarterback against a good Texans team really highlighted how amazing he’s been since arriving in New England.

Kellerman could be on to something.
