Two days after believing he was going to the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade, former New England Patriots guard Josh Kline is headed to the Tennessee Titans.

Kline was claimed off waivers by the Titans on Thursday. The Patriots waived Kline on Wednesday after he was removed from a trade with the Eagles for cornerback Eric Rowe on Tuesday.

By claiming Kline, the Titans take over his contract, freeing up cap room for the Patriots. The Titans’ general manager is Jon Robinson, who was a scout for the Patriots from 2002 to 2013.

The Patriots also released Kevin Snyder from injured reserve with an injury settlement. Snyder hurt his hand in the Patriots’ final preseason game and underwent surgery shortly after.
