NFL Creating ‘Pipeline’ For Women To Fill Coaching, Scouting Positions


Buffalo Bills special teams quality coach Kathryn Smith is the first, and only, full-time female coach in the NFL. Now, the league apparently is focused on improving its gender-diversity issue.

EspnW’s Jane McManus reported Tuesday the NFL has tabbed former women’s football pro Sam Rapoport “to identify women who are knowledgeable about the game and train them, and to create a space for those women in the social networks that often lead to jobs in football.”
