Patriots Injury Report: Dont’a Hightower Doubtful; Rob Gronkowski Questionable

FOXBORO, Mass. — It appears the New England Patriots will be without one of their captains and best defenders Sunday in their Week 2 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

Linebacker Dont’a Hightower is listed as doubtful to play Sunday after missing a week of practice. He injured his knee early in the Patriots’ Week 1 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night but played through the ailment.

Here’s the Patriots’ injury report two days out from their game against the Dolphins.

LB Shea McClellin (shoulder)
OT Nate Solder (hamstring)
WR Chris Hogan (shoulder)

Flowers, Mason, McClellin and Hogan had the same injuries listed last Friday but played in Week 1. Cooper, Gronkowski and Solder had the same injuries listed last Friday and didn’t play against the Arizona Cardinals. Butler, Cannon, Hightower and Rowe suffered new injuries since last week.
