Watch Dustin Pedroia Crush A Grand Slam To Put Red Sox Ahead Of Rays

If Dustin Pedroia heard all the chatter about how the Boston Red Sox perform with the bases loaded, then it certainly didn’t faze him Saturday night.

The Red Sox had the bases juiced with two outs when Pedroia came up to bat in the seventh inning against the Tampa Bay Rays. But instead of squandering the opportunity, as the Red Sox have been wont to do in 2016, the second baseman crushed a grand slam off Rays reliever Danny Farquhar after working an eight-pitch at-bat.

The grand salami lifted the Red Sox to a 6-4 win and was the fourth of Pedroia’s career and his second this season. Pedroia now has 14 home runs on the year.
