FOXBORO, Mass. — It’s confirmed: Jimmy Garoppolo can throw a football despite the AC joint sprain in his right shoulder.

Garoppolo attempted multiple passes during Wednesday’s New England Patriots practice. He also practiced Tuesday, but the media wasn’t permittedĀ to stick around to see him throw.

Garoppolo also attempted one deeper throw.

Garoppolo either wasn’t throwing with full effort or, the more likely scenario, his shoulder is still bothering him. His status remains uncertain for the Patriots’ Week 4 matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

Rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett only threw the ball short distances. He’s dealing with a thumb injury, and his status also still is up in the air.

The Patriots had perfect practice attendance, though defensive tackle Anthony Johnson, who was cut Monday, replaced offensive lineman Ian Silberman on the practice squad.
