A general view of Fenway ParkWhat would be better than watching the premiere of “The David Ortiz Era,” presented by Foxwoods Resort Casino, under the lights at Fenway Park?

You can do that Wednesday, Sept. 28, as part of the GlobeDocs Film Festival.

Gates are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m. ET, then “The David Ortiz Era,” a NESN documentary that tells Ortiz’s story from signing with the Red Sox as an unheralded free agent to winning three World Series titles and becoming a Boston legend, will be shown on the Fenway big screen at 7 p.m. After a 10-minute intermission, “David Ortiz: The Journey,” an interview documentary film that takes an introspective look at Ortiz’s career, will be shown to wrap up the night.

Adults can buy $10 tickets for the event, which covers both films, and all kids 12 and under will be admitted for free. Admission also is free for Red Sox season-ticket holders.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Fenway Park concession stands during the event.

The GlobeDocs Film Festival — a five-day documentary film festival designed to engage, promote and celebrate film and production talent — takes place during HUBweek in select theaters across Boston.
