Xander Bogaerts, Red Sox Miss Some Opportunities At Plate In Loss Vs. Orioles

You can’t win them all in baseball, but the Boston Red Sox did have a few chances to come away with a victory Tuesday despite their 6-3 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.

Their best shot to put more runs on the board came in the second inning. They scored two runs on walks with the bases loaded and one out, but shortstop Xander Bogaerts struck out and David Ortiz grounded out to end the threat. It wasn’t all negative at the plate for the shortstop, though, as he went 1-for-5 with a solo home run.

Hear what Boagerts had to say about the missed opportunities in the video from “Red Sox Final” above.
