Yoan Moncada Collects First MLB Hit, RBI For Red Sox Vs. Athletics

Yoan Moncada has experienced plenty of firsts in just two games against the Oakland Athletics.

The Boston Red Sox third baseman made his Major League Baseball debut and scored his first run Friday against the A’s, but he had more time to make his mark Saturday in his first big league start. And Moncada did just that by hitting an RBI double to left field in the third inning.

The double brought in two runs, but the second was charged to A’s left fielder Khris Davis on an error.

Not too shabby, especially for a 21-year-old kid who still was playing Double-A ball Wednesday.
