Bill Belichick discussed a variety of topics during his Tuesday morning conference call, including the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback situation and his hatred of sideline tablets.
But before all that, the New England Patriots coach had an important announcement to make.
“Well, we have a roster addition to announce this morning,” Belichick said in his opening remarks. “It’s a little different than the usual one, and the emphasis would be on ‘little.’ We can add newborn Blakely Rose to the depth chart. She was born (Tuesday) morning to my son Steve and the real MVP, Jen, so this is a happy and exciting day for all of us.
“And with that, we’ll move on to the Steelers.”
Steve Belichick is in his first season as the Patriots’ safeties coach and his fifth season on his father’s staff.
