DraftKings Week 7 Lineup: Best Player Picks In DFS Fantasy Football
Week 7 of the NFL season begins Thursday night with an NFC North division showdown between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. That means it’s time to start thinking about your DraftKings lineup for the week.
Here are our DraftKings picks for Week 7.
Quarterback: Blake Bortles, Jacksonville Jaguars ($6,200)
Bortles has a favorable matchup against an Oakland Raiders defense that’s allowed the most passing yards per attempt (8.9) and per game (313). Oakland also has given up 12 passing touchdowns.
Running Backs: LeSean McCoy, Buffalo Bills ($7,600); LeGarrette Blount, New England Patriots ($4,900)
McCoy had 140 rushing yards and three touchdowns last week, and he could turn in an even better performance against a Miami Dolphins defense that’s allowed the second-most rushing yards through six weeks.
Blount could have a productive game against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that has surrendered the fourth-most rush yards per carry (4.5). He also might receive more carries than usual if the Patriots jump out to an early lead against a Steelers team without starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Wide Receivers: Mohamed Sanu, Atlanta Falcons ($4,400); Amari Cooper, Oakland Raiders ($7,900); Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars ($7,900)
Sanu should be able to find success against a poor San Diego Chargers pass defense, especially with Falcons wideout Julio Jones drawing lots of double coverage.
Cooper has back-to-back games of 120-plus receiving yards and at least 10 targets, and that trend should continue against a Jaguars secondary that lacks a shutdown cornerback.
Robinson’s breakout game of 2016 could come this week against a Raiders defense that’s been torched on passing plays all season, as mentioned above.
Tight End: Hunter Henry, San Diego Chargers ($3,600)
Henry remains undervalued on DraftKings. He’s tallied at least 60 receiving yards and a touchdown in three straight games.
Flex: Martellus Bennett, New England Patriots ($4,500)
Rob Gronkowski’s emergence last week could lead to the Steelers double- and triple-teaming him, which could open up Bennett for increased targets. Let’s not forget he caught three touchdown passes in Tom Brady’s debut in Week 5.
Defense: New York Jets ($2,700)
This is a risky play, but Baltimore’s offense isn’t very good. The Ravens have scored just 19.5 points per game, the eighth-fewest in the league, while also converting on just 34.5 percent of their third-down plays (fifth-worst).
