Bruins Turn Page On Disappointing Finish With High Hopes For 2016-17 Season

Believe it or not, the Boston Bruins’ season opener is just a few days away.

The Bruins will look to avoid a third straight season without making the playoffs when they drop the puck on a new campaign Thursday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

But before that, owner Jeremy Jacobs, CEO Charlie Jacobs and coach Claude Julien took the time to talk to NESN at Tuesday’s media day.

“I’m really excited about this upcoming year,” Charlie Jacobs told NESN’s Sarah Davis, as aired on “NESN Live,” presented by Cross Insurance. “… We have some good returning players, and Tuukka (Rask) looks like he’s on top of his game. So listen, I would say I’m always excited before the puck drops on the season. I always have high expectations. I think they’re also very realistic expectation given what we’ve seen on the ice so far.”
